Day 1 – War Song

As a general rule, Hip Hop movies suck.

Well that’s a little harsh, Hip Hop movies suck compared to Wildstyle, the original and best Hip Hop movie.

This looks good though, the UK has never made a Hip Hop movie before though so this may turn out just like Kidulthood but with rapping in. This is a small clip of the upcoming Hip Hop movie; Day 1, set in and featuring Birmingham MC’s. I shall be keeping close eye on where this movie is going and post the official trailer when it drops.

Trailer: ONG BAK 2

The Original ONG BAK had a whole load of controversy surrounding it a few years when some kid shot up Virginia Tech University and apparently he was obsessed with it. Whatever. As a general rule, Kung Fu movies are dope, no ifs, no buts, all Kung Fu movies are dope. This looks to carry on that legacy.

At The Movies With Gooderz – The Taking Of Pelham 123

the_taking_of_pelham_123_02

So I went to see The Taking Of Pelham 123 today. Good film, one of my favourite actors; Denzel Washinton plays the lead role and co-stars along side John Travolta playing a regular guy caught in an irregular situation. John Travolta’s character takes a New York subway car full of people hostage and wants 10 million dollars for the peoples safe return. Overall its a great film, Denzel and John have great on screen chemistry(even though they don't actually have a scene together until the final few scenes), they’re both excellent actors doing what they do best. The entire film is shown in real time, a technique rarely used but when it is used it works very well.

This is a great movie, great acting and a gripping story. Theres no spectacular special effects, no crazy plot twist, like I said earlier; just a regular guy caught in an irregular situation. This is a must see and probably one of the best films of the year.

Trailer: Good Hair

New documentary by Chris Rock, this looks very good indeed.

Couple of things missing from that, namely my two favourite Jay-Z tracks of last year; Brooklyn Go Hard and Jockin’ Jay-Z. Hmm, I guess they didn’t fit in with the theme of the album but both of them tracks are better that Run This Town and they aren’t even bonus cuts?!?!?!?!?! SMH!

Kidz In The Hall – Flickin’

flickinartnorthamerica-450x450

I’m only posting this track because it’s not available to purchase in the UK yet, I thought the days of us getting music/games/movies ages after the US were over but apparently not, I’ll remove this download link as soon as its on the UK iTunes store or the RIAA complain again, anyway, rant over LOL.

This track is severely dope, Naledge bringing the sick rhymes as usual and Double O tries something different with this beat and it sound incredible. Some very refreshing Hip Hop from the Chi-Town duo.

Toy Story Double Feature Trailer

I didn’t expect this!!!!!

Two classics remade in 3D, and not the crappy red and blue glasses kind of 3D, the amazing, Coraline 3D that costs extra to go and see.

And if that isn’t exciting enough.

Wale – Pretty Girls feat. Gucci Mane

wale_img2

I wouldn’t ordinarily post anything to do with Mr. Mane but this track is quite good and you know, a cliché free rappers got to have some relevance in this climate.

The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard

Great cast of comedic actors. Check. Swearing in the trailer. Check. Original concept. Check

Tron Legacy Trailer

I tried to post this yesterday but embedding was disabled on pretty much all the trailers but I just found a video with embedding enabled, anyway, i digress.

This looks incredible, visually it’s on another level compared to this years most CGI heavy film; Star Trek. Don’t know much about story though so it may just be another Transformers; all visual effects, no story. The soundtrack is being handled by the electro duo Daft Punk so it  will most likely be in keeping with the visual style of the movie. This film is out sometime in 2010.

win7-box

I meant to post this aaaaaaaaaagges ago but never got round to it. Anyway.

Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 N and Windows 7 Home Basic  are only available in developing countries at a discount price, lacking features like touch control, Windows Media Center and, specifically to Windows 7 N; Windows Media Player. The low prices on these versions are to combat rampant piracy in developing regions.
