Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow(Action Man:The Movie Remix)

So I went to see GI Joe today, that movie was so very terrible I’m not even going to dignify it with a review. The only redeeming quality was the great remix of The Peas’ Boom Boom Pow that served as the ending theme.

Joe Budden Vs. Raekwon Summary

I don’t even know where to start on this one.

I’ve refrained from posting anything to do with this “beef” as I don’t actually care about beef in the Hip Hop world anymore, The Game’s numerous unnecessary beefs just made the whole thing boring.

Anyway this video sums up the entire situation for those of you that give a crap, I do not. I only watched this video because Jay Smooth makes funny, interesting vlogs about stuff like this.

You can check out more of Jay Smooths vlogs here or subscribe to his video podcast on iTunes.

Kano – Rock N Roller(Radio Rip)

I like Kano, I do not however like autotune and that's all I’m going to say on this one.

Anyway this track is available to download but it is a dodgy radio rip, instead of posting a download link I made the audio into a video file and uploaded it to youtube. Let me know what you think on this one.

Blueprint 3 Artwork & Tracklisting

Jay-Z_blueprint3_cover

This artwork looks nice!!!! A bit 808’s inspired to me you know, minimal colour in the background and striking colour in the foreground.

Tracklisting:

01. What We Talking About (Produced by Kanye West)

02. D.O.A. (Produced by No I.D.)

03. Weigh Me Down Feat. Kid Cudi (Produced by Kanye West)

04. Unforgiven (Produced by Kanye West, Additional Production: MGMT)

05. Run This Town Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West (Produced by Kanye West)

06. Empire State Of Mind Feat. Nas (Produced by Kanye West & No I.D.)

07. When It Comes To This (Produced by Timbaland)

08. Always Feat. Drake (Produced by Kanye West)

09. Scenes From The Past (Produced by No I.D., Co-produced by Kanye West)

10. Everyday A Star Is Born Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)

11. Already Home (Produced by Kanye West)

12. Forever Young Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)

13. Thank You (Produced by No I.D.)

14. Sound Of The 70s (Produced by Kanye West)[Bonus]

15. We Made History (Produced by Kanye West)[Bonus]

Couple of things missing from that, namely my two favourite Jay-Z tracks of last year; Brooklyn Go Hard and Jockin’ Jay-Z. Hmm, I guess they didn’t fit in with the theme of the album but both of them tracks are better that Run This Town and they aren’t even bonus cuts?!?!?!?!?! SMH!

R.I.P. Baatin

J Dilla, Baatin, T3 By Mpozi Details are scarce at the moment, all everyone knows is that he died today, I shall post an update once more information has leaked.

Now I’m not going to claim that I’m a fan of Slum Village, I know very little about this group and the Detroit Hip Hop scene as a whole. All I know is that Hip Hop as a culture and a genre has suffered great loss over the years and Baatin can sadly be added to the long list(that also includes ex-Slum Village producer/MC J Dilla, ) If your a fan of Slum Village keep bumping their music and keep supporting underground Hip Hop, if your not, go out and get some Slum Village and enjoy listening to some good music. I’m in the latter and shall be blazing their back catalogue on my iPod tommorow.

Its good to learn about artists new and old but its depressing that I should get into their music under such sad circumstances.

Ja-Rule – The Mirror(Album)

1220301499_3512118x

I’m only posting this for the Ja-Rule fans out there(all five of you).

This is an open post to Mr. Jeffrey Atkins, no body cares about you!!!

After numerous delays and the inevitable leak, this album was shelved indefinitely. You’ve got to remember, this album was meant to come out in 2007. Well Ja decided enough was enough and teamed up with DoeDolla to officially release the album online today, for free. I’ve included the download link below but I don’t condone listening to hot garbage let alone infecting your iPods with it.

Eminem & Mariah Carey – A History Of Beef

Since Eminem released a brutal diss track targeting Nick Cannon and his wifey I thought I’d chronicle how this unusual beef started.

It all started when, after a few years of hostility between Em and Mariah after their alleged 11 month relationship in 2001, a track surfaced that appeared on Eminem’s latest album Relapse called Bagpipes From Baghdad which had a few lines taking shots at Mariah….

…..which caused Nick Cannon to write a heeeeyuuuge rant on his blog saying how he’s gonna destroy Eminem and goes on to call him a racist, the blog post culminates in Nick promising he’s, God forbid, gonna start rapping again.

After that all was quiet for about a month until Mariah released the video for Obsessed where she mocks Eminem and takes a few shots at him herself…

…then all was quiet again as the Hip Hop world waited on Eminems response and finally, a month after Obsessed dropped, Eminem released The Warning which absolutely tears Mariah and Nick apart. Its not very difficult to say who won this one, Eminem murdered this, this isn’t Nas vs. Jay, this is an incredible MC against an incredibly easy target showing the world why he is one of the best to ever do it.

Drake – Best I Ever Had Directors Cut

So apparently the first one wasn’t long enough, now we have to put up with even more of this abomination of a music video.

No amount of stretching can save this train wreck.
